New Thought leader, Emmet Fox, wrote, “There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer; no disease that love will not heal; no door that enough love will not open.”
How do we bring this power of love into our lives and the world?
Set an intention to open your heart and leave it open, no matter what. Go through experience and interaction of your day with your heart fully open, accepting, and compassionate. Whenever you feel yourself constricting or saying “no” to a circumstance, or the words someone is speaking, practice radical acceptance by opening your heart.
The world needs love where it appears not to be. Remaining loving in the face of hatred, anger, and bigotry is not done to condone anyone’s behavior. Closing our hearts gives it energy and importance and traps the very thing we seek to resist.
Only Love is real. If we can remain open, words, thoughts, and situations pass through us and back to the nothingness from which they came. We can then bring the loving Christ presence to where it is needed most, and our love changes the situation forever.
