“You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.”
–Marianne Williamson
One of the most amazing transitions you can make in life is the shift in your understanding from what you do to who you are. This shift moves you from being a doctor, a lawyer, a mother or father, to a giver and receiver of love. This seismic shift can take you from describing yourself as your earthly job to your heavenly one; it allows you to move from viewing your work as a job to seeing it as a calling.
Your purpose has nothing to do with what job you do for a living, although you can be in your purpose as you perform your job. You cannot be fired from your purpose cannot be downsized or moved overseas. Your purpose is what you do, even when you don’t have a job, or a role as the world would define it. Your purpose is who you must be. It is the fulfillment of the deepest and highest aspects of your being, and it is what lights you up and is the thing that you cannot not do.
During this pandemic, let’s shift our attention from our jobs and roles to our Divine purpose. Join me this Sunday as we begin the journey.
