Together, we have massively shifted how we interact as a spiritual community and have found some beautiful blessings in the change. However, I know that many of you long for the experience of our in-person services and classes. To accomplish this, we have shifted some things over the last few months. We now film all of our music on a separate evening and then embed it in our Livestream to minimize the risk of airborne contamination.
Last Friday, Mayor London Breed announced that, because of the reduced infection rates in the city, Spiritual Communities could begin to gather again with certain restrictions. We will move one step at a time and keep your safety and health top of mind. If the city and county stay on course, 25 people will be allowed to attend Sunday Services starting on October 4th. Reservations will be necessary, and masks are required in the building at all times.
Of course, we will continue to keep our Livestream going, and those of you who want to watch from home will find no difference in your experience of the Service.
Many more details will follow and will be available on the website as they are finalized. Your safety is our top priority, and it is important to us that you know that we are carefully monitoring the clarifications from the City of San Francisco and making appropriate plans.
We are also pressing ahead with our renovation plans, and I have a big announcement! The city approved our plans for removing the organ, and we have donated it to an artist community in Ohio who will use it in their arts educations programs.
With all of the changes and all of the unknowns in our world right now, there remain many constants. Among them is that Unity San Francisco is dedicated to making your lives better and sharing our positive spiritual teachings with the world. Now more than ever, we all need our spiritual community.
Blessings,
Rev. Ken
Will come to service at Page street as often as I can!
