We all know that the most challenging part of any play for change is to stick with it! But, whether we want to lose weight, get in shape, break an unhealthy habit or learn a new skill, commitment to the plan is essential for success. But unfortunately, no matter how much enthusiasm we begin with, we often revert to the old rote, entrenched behaviors and find ourselves back in our old patterns.
Neuroscience now shows us what mystics have known for thousands of years; the way to change our behaviors is by changing our minds. And the key to doing that is the effect meditation has on your brain. By the practice of meditation, we are able to shift our brain waves and rewire our minds. So join us this Sunday as we look at and practice the powerful effects of prayer and meditation in our continuing Study of Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself with my talk, “Your Brain on Meditation.”
