It is often said that giving and receiving are the same—two sides of the same spiritual truth. Yet, how often do we move through life unaware of the countless gifts we receive every day? The warmth of the sun on our skin, the air filling our lungs, the colors of a sunset splashed across the sky—nature offers its abundance freely, without hesitation or expectation. The planet itself is an endless wellspring of riches, from the trees that purify our air to the rivers that carve paths through the land, sustaining life with every drop. This Sunday, we’ll explore how embracing the cycle of giving and receiving opens us to the abundance that is always present, both seen and unseen.
When we give our time—whether in service, conversation, or presence—we unknowingly receive the immeasurable gift of connection. Every moment spent in deep listening or shared laughter enriches our spirit in ways money never could. Likewise, when we share our talents, we invite others to do the same, creating a web of creativity and skill that uplifts us all. And when we give of our treasure, we make room for life to surprise us with unexpected abundance: the generosity of a friend, an opportunity that aligns perfectly, or the deep satisfaction of knowing we’ve made a difference. Just as nature gives unceasingly, opportunities flow around us constantly—doors waiting to be opened, paths ready to be explored, new beginnings unfolding in every moment.
Join us this Sunday as Rev. Ken Daigle explores Time, Talent, and Treasure and the often-unseen riches flowing through our lives. When we awaken to this truth, we no longer see giving as a sacrifice or receiving as selfish. Instead, we step fully into the divine flow—where generosity expands, gratitude deepens, and abundance becomes a way of life. Nature thrives in a cycle of continuous giving, and so can we. The more we open our eyes to the gifts already present, the more we recognize that we, too, are part of life’s infinite abundance.
