Through every era of disruption and renewal, Unity SF has stood firm in spiritual principle. We have always taught that every person is inherently good, that God is present in all things, and that our thoughts and prayers shape our experience. These teachings have given hope in dark times and empowered people to claim their wholeness, no matter what the world was facing.
People have come to Unity SF seeking healing, acceptance, and purpose — and they have found community, practices that work, and a Love big enough to hold it all. When others closed their doors, Unity opened its heart. When individuals were told they didn’t belong, Unity created a spiritual home.
Today, we honor the shoulders we stand on — the ministers, volunteers, congregants, and visionaries who chose love over fear, possibility over limitation, and inclusivity over exclusion.
And now, we carry their legacy forward.
As we celebrate this extraordinary century of Unity in San Francisco, we are reminded of a powerful truth:
