Courageous Conversations About Race

If you are unable to join by computer, please use your phone to call: 699-900-683
Meeting ID: 438 933

Join us as we work as a community to deepen our collective and individual understanding of the need for personal racial consciousness and the importance of engaging in the Protocol for Courageous Conversations about Race.

From their website: “Courageous Conversation is an award-winning protocol for effectively engaging, sustaining, and deepening interracial dialogue.

“Why examine and address race?  Race matters – in our nation and around the world.  It is critical that we address racial issues in order to uncover personal and institutional biases that prevent all people, and especially people of color, from reaching their fullest potential.  Courageous Conversation serves as the essential strategy for systems and organizations to address racial disparities through safe, authentic, and effective cross-racial dialogue.”

For additional information about Courageous Conversations About Race, please visit their website using the button below.

Additionally, a good marker to determine whether or not you may be holding any unconscious biases is the Implicit Biases Test, which was created by Project Implicit, a subset of Harvard University. This 20-minute test will uncover any blind spots or unknown areas in which you may be biased, and it covers a range of topics, from gender to race and beyond. It is encouraged that you consider taking this test to prepare for the Courageous Conversation workshop on Sunday.  Use the button below to access the test.
