Juneteenth: A Celebration of African-American Strength, Resilience, and Hope
June 19, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Juneteenth Service
A Celebration of African-American Strength, Resilience, and Hope
Friday, June 19th
6:30 PM
Juneteenth is on June 19th every year, and it is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. It is known as “Freedom Day.”
In honor of Juneteenth this year, we have created a unique Service to elevate this American holiday. Misa Malone and Canticum, our new vocal ensemble, will provide music and Rev. Ken will deliver a short talk on the spiritual legacy of slavery we all live with and share. We will also include a reading of a poem by Unity San Francisco’s former member, Maya Angelou.
Join us as we step forward in love to heal the wounds and to celebrate our oneness!
