We here at Unity San Francisco are delighted to invite you to Rev. DeeAnn’s ordination!

Many of you may be wondering what is going to happen at Rev. DeeAnn’s ordination, or maybe you’re curious, since she’s already our Reverend, why is she getting ordained now?

Rev. DeeAnn’s previous ordination was from an Interfaith Seminary that is not associated with Unity.  As she moved further into her work in the Unity movement, she desired an ordination in Unity to reflect her deep commitment to our community and to her own spiritual development.  To that end, she has devoted countless hours and resources to her study and enrichment.

Ordination is the process by which individuals are consecrated – that is, set apart and elevated from the laity (community) to the clergy – and become authorized to perform the various religious rites and ceremonies.  At this event, other ministers from the Unity and New Thought movement, including Rev. Ken, will be here to honor and bless Rev. DeeAnn in a ritual that acknowledges the demanding spiritual journey that she has completed as well as celebrating the path that lies before her.

By being here, in person or on our livestream, you will be adding your presence and consciousness to the process of ordination and signaling to the Universe the extraordinary blessing which we know that Rev. DeeAnn is.

About Rev. DeeAnn’s Unity Journey

Rev. DeeAnn came to Unity as an Agape Practitioner and Interfaith Minister.  She was called to serve as Spiritual Leader of Unity of Berkeley in 2012, and then in 2014, she was called to support Rev. Ken as he stepped into leadership at Unity San Francisco.  She became a Licensed Unity Teacher in 2016 and entered Unity’s Ministerial Field Licensing Program the following year.  She was licensed as a Unity Minister in 2018 and looks forward to celebrating the culmination of years of work with the Unity San Francisco community.
