Drag Queen Story Hour
June 18
11:00 AM PT
240 Page Street, San Francisco
In-person
FREE!
As part of Pride month, we’ll be hosting a drag story hour for children on Sunday, June 18. Ehra Amaya, last year’s Empress of San Francisco, will be reading several inspiring children’s books that highlight the importance of self-expression and acceptance. Children and families from all over the city are welcome to attend.
Drag is a beautiful form of joy that can be used to show the world that it’s OK to be who you want to be. Drag queens are important cultural icons who inspire creativity, promote inclusivity and acceptance, provide entertainment, empower communities, challenge gender norms, and contribute to the ongoing pursuit of equality for the LGBTQ+ community.
