A Radical Rethinking of Easter Scripture

What if we’ve misunderstood resurrection?
What if the Easter story was never meant to be read only as history—but as revelation? Many of us have been taught to view the resurrection as a static event that happened to one person, a long time ago. But what if it is actually a blueprint for the evolution of human consciousness?
Join Rev. Ken Daigle for a bold, transformative exploration of scripture through a fresh lens. This workshop integrates traditional Unity metaphysical teachings with a Universalist, evolutionary perspective, moving the conversation from ancient doctrine to modern application.
This isn’t about debating theology or proving history. It’s about awakening consciousness. Together, we will journey beyond literal interpretations to uncover the deeper symbolism and universal relevance these narratives hold for our lives today.
Easter Floral Workshop
Saturday, April 4th | 11:00 – 2:00 pm
Be a part of the visual magic of our Easter celebration!
At Unity San Francisco, our service features a powerful “Flower Meditation” where the community transforms a barren stage into a vibrant explosion of color. We need your hands and hearts to help prepare the small, hand-tied bouquets that every congregant will hold as a physical part of this spiritual practice.
In this workshop, we will:
- Assemble the mini-bouquets that serve as the heart of our collective ritual.
- Prepare the foundational designs that will “bloom” during the ceremony.
- Co-create the beauty that symbolizes our awakening to new life.
No experience is necessary—just a desire to create and serve. Help us turn the “long dark night” into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear by lending your touch to the flowers that help our community rise in consciousness!
Easter Egg Hunt
Sunday, April 5th | 1:00 pm
Help us create a moment of pure joy for the children of our community! This Easter, we are hosting a special egg hunt for our Unity kids and the children at Rita da Cascia, a shelter for women and families living with HIV. We need your hands and hearts to help guide the fun and ensure a safe, celebratory afternoon for these deserving families.
We need volunteers to:
- Organize and run the hunt so every child feels seen and celebrated.
- Guide the little ones as they navigate the search for treats and affirmations.
- Support the connection between our church and our neighbors at Rita da Cascia.
No special skills are required—just a desire to serve and share in the laughter. Join us in making this Easter unforgettable by lending your presence to the children who need it most!

- Subway lines J, K, L, M, N, & T drop you off at Van Ness station 4 blocks away

At Civic Center station you can either take any subway line to the Van Ness Station stop and then walk 10 minutes, or you can take the 6 or 7 bus to a stop within 1 block of us. If you are up for a walk, we are just a 15-20 minute walk away!
