Unity San Francisco
Gay Men’s Spirituality Group
First Wednesdays,
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
In-person
Open to anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area who identifies as a gay man. All ages and beliefs are welcomed – the only requirement is to have spiritual curiosity. The goal is to make each person feel connected to one another and celebrated.
The bulk of each session centers on breakout groups where participants get to connect with one another over curated discussion prompts. There are also activities, mini-ceremonies, or meditations.
This is a drop-in group that’s held at Unity San Francisco, an uplifting community for folks who are spiritual but not religious. A suggested donation of $20-30 is appreciated, but we don’t want cost to prohibit anyone from joining this welcoming community – so no one turned away for lack of funds.

Facilitator
David Monticalvo
Speaker, Facilitator, and Writer
After feeling disconnected from traditional Christianity, David Monticalvo’s path led him to embrace his gayness and the teachings of New Thought. He translated this personal journey into action by founding the Gay Men’s Spirituality Group at Unity San Francisco. Through his writing and workshops, he now explores spirituality, creativity, and identity, and is writing a book about how gay men can heal themselves and the world.
