Human life is precious and precarious. This past week, I visited and spoke with one of our members, whose human experience has come to an early end. Karen has found release from the limits of her physical body and is continuing her spiritual journey unencumbered. And the gift of our time with Karen Ray will continue in our hearts, minds, and collective memories.
Rev. Eleesabeth and I shared laughter, tears, and time with her family today as we met and began the planning of a spiritual service to honor the human journey of our dear friend. They recalled to us Karen’s sharing the Teilhard quote above. I am truly present to how we touch each other and the gifts of each moment on this human journey.
For those of you who are new to Unity San Francisco, you may not know Karen; she has not been physically with us through COVID. Yet, she was always with us and thinking of us, even to the last days of her life. We have been and continue to be blessed by her love, grace, and gifts.
