Wednesday began our commemoration of Black History Month, and the contrast of Tyre Nichols’ funeral being held on the same day was striking.
Our Second Unity Principle is:
We are Divinity in expression, and therefore we are inherently good.
It is clear that we, as a nation and a people, have room for growth. I don’t know about your experience, but as a child growing up in the Deep South, I was not taught about the amazing and important achievements of our Black brothers and sisters. Black History Month is the smallest of steps toward creating a world that recognizes and honors the Truth in our Second Principle and slowly starts to correct the sins of omission and exclusion that have tainted our history and shaped our understanding.
This Sunday, Misa Malone will lead us in a study of our Second Principle and how we can live more fully into it! Join us and lift your Divine expression!
