Restoring Sanity: A Powerful Message of Hope and Healing

Proper mental hygiene is no different than dental hygiene. Both require daily care and maintenance. As we approach World Mental Health Day on October 10,  Dr. JD Schramm will join us to share about his own journey of recovery from addiction, depression, and suicide. While it’s a story of hope, JD also shares the darkness that he endured on his way to leading a life he loves today. He will provide all of us with daily actions we can each take to restore and replenish our own mental hygiene.

Weinvite you to join us this Sunday, October 6th, at 11 am for an extraordinary service with Dr. JD Schramm. In his talk titled Restoring Sanity, Dr. Schramm will share his own journey of recovery from addiction, depression, and suicide—a deeply personal story that takes us through the darkness he endured and the profound transformation that led him to a life he loves today.

Dr. Schramm’s message is more than just one of hope; it’s a call to action for each of us to care for our mental well-being with the same diligence we give to our physical health. He will offer daily practices that can help us maintain and improve our “mental hygiene,” just as we do with our dental hygiene—reminding us that care and maintenance are essential for our minds, too. His emphasis on taking life “one day at a time” brings home the importance of small, consistent actions that restore balance and foster lasting mental health.

Whether you are seeking encouragement, practical tools for maintaining your mental health, or simply wish to hear an inspiring story of resilience, this is a Sunday you won’t want to miss. We look forward to welcoming you to Unity San Francisco at 11 am for a service that could leave a lasting impact on your journey to wholeness.

More words between Sundays.
