Scripture Revisited

For too long, many have treated scripture as either outdated history or rigid rulebook. But in Scripture Revisited, we’ll look again — through the historical-critical lens, the metaphysical lens, and Unity’s perspective — to discover the wisdom these ancient texts still hold for our lives today.

When we peel back the layers of literalism, we find universal principles of healing, courage, abundance, and forgiveness woven into stories that speak directly to the human condition. The Exodus story isn’t just about an ancient people escaping slavery; it’s about the freedom each of us seeks from the limiting beliefs and fears that hold us captive. The teachings of Jesus aren’t rules to be enforced but living reminders that love and wholeness are always available in this moment.

Scripture becomes less about dogma and more about living wisdom, showing us how to meet life’s challenges with faith, creativity, and resilience.

Join me live this Sunday at Unity San Francisco as we reframe these sacred stories — not as relics of the past, but as guides for creating a life of purpose and abundance right now.

More words between Sundays.
