As we approach this Mother’s Day, I find myself drawn to contemplate the profound presence of the Divine Feminine throughout history and in our lives today. This year feels especially poignant for me, as it marks the first Mother’s Day since my mother passed away.
The concept of the Divine Feminine is not confined to any one religious or cultural tradition; rather, it transcends boundaries and manifests in various forms across time and civilizations. This sacred feminine energy embodies nurturing, compassion, wisdom, and creativity. In many spiritual traditions, she is personified as goddesses like Isis, Aphrodite, Kuan Yin, or Lakshmi—each representing different facets of the feminine divine.
Historically, societies worldwide have revered motherhood and femininity, recognizing the vital role women play in the continuity of life and the nurturing of families and communities. The archetype of the mother as a giver of life and sustenance has been central to human civilization from ancient times.
As I reflect on my mother’s life, I see echoes of this Divine Feminine energy. Her unconditional love, unwavering support, and wisdom shaped not only my life but the lives of everyone she touched. She embodied the essence of motherhood—a role that extends beyond biology to encompass spiritual nurturing and emotional sustenance.
Mother’s Day, therefore, is not merely a commercial holiday but a profound opportunity to honor the Divine Feminine that resides within every mother and within each of us. It is a day to express gratitude for the women who have nurtured and guided us, whether they are our birth mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or mother figures.
In celebrating Mother’s Day, let us also acknowledge the importance of nurturing and honoring the feminine qualities within ourselves and in our world. We can cultivate empathy, gentleness, and creativity, recognizing these as expressions of the Divine Feminine that can heal and transform our lives and communities.
As we cherish the memory of our mothers and the Divine Feminine this Mother’s Day, let us strive to embody these qualities in our interactions and relationships. May we honor the nurturing spirit of all mothers and draw inspiration from the timeless wisdom of the Divine Feminine.
In loving memory of my dear mother and in celebration of all mothers, Happy Mother’s Day to each and every one of you and invite you to join us on Sunday as I celebrate the Divine Feminine with our guest speaker, Christine Hildebrand.
With heartfelt blessings,
Rev. Ken Daigle

Some years ago, I studied the origins of Christianity and the Gnostic texts. The truth of Jesus and his wife, Mary was a part of their journey to France and Mary’s preaching. I have for many years, been in oneness with Mother zgof and see Her guiding and most of all loving me (despite all my many mistakes. I enjoyed the Sunday lesson on the Divine Feminine.
